Carolina Liar Reflection

Sacramento to Hollywood!
September 10th, 2008

We did make our show at the Hard Rock in time and everyone was so tired
that we all got on each others nerves a little. But we got the show under
our belts then made our way home by about 3am . For the most part we all
slept in except for a little earth shaking which threw the day off but made
it good some how to. Really it’s crazy how fragile everything is and
moments where the earth is sliding underneath your feet like that just
remind me anyway that life isn’t going to last forever. We did our sound
check and everything worked out well enough. We got back to the Troubadour
around 8:30 and the room was pretty full. Then the Shys went on and we
were sure that the crowd that was there for them, but as they walked
off the stage everyone stayed and more people came in! I couldn’t believe
it! We sold out the Troubadour the first time we played it!! It was just
great - the entire experience was just unreal. Afterwards we found ourselves
and a good party crowd at the Rainbow on sunset for some serious Karaoke.
Then of course everything got out of hand. Needless to say we had a show
the next day in Bakersfield so we all needed to get some sleep so we could
make the drive.

In Bakersfield, first we had a show at the Guitar Center for Krab. Then we
were off to the Dome where we were greeted by two fans who made their own
shirts and bought me a new scarf. The show went well but we might not have
been the best match. It was I’m Ghost’s tour and we were grateful to
play for their fans. It was a lot of fun, then we took off to Vegas!!

Off to Canada but First
September 2nd, 2008

So we set off to Pemberton via Spokane Washington? That was really going
the long way but it was worth it:). We had to play an acoustic set before
we made the long run in. But we did it. Between Bill and Johan, they drove
a little over 12 hours and we got through the border and into Pemberton
around 3 am. The road to the festival was just crazy though; it seemed like
something from an Arcade game.

The show went great. Low Vs Diamond set the day off and we followed up on
the same stage. It was just beautiful out there. Festival was just
huge. Mountains were in circling the entire event. The strange thing is we
ran into so many people we knew or just met a few weeks ago while we have
been on tour. It’s one of those things where you always need to be on your
best behavior because the world is so small.

Here are some photos from the show:

Portland
August 21st, 2008

Today was just great. We got to sleep until 12 and sound check was easy. We played at a place called the Crystal Ballroom. Derek Trucks was playing in the big room and he came walking through while we were waiting. That has got to be one of the best parts of this life on the road, seeing some of your favorites and some rock royalty up close and personal! Thank you guys again for letting us get to do this. It is truly one great ride.

We did get to tour the Portland underground today and man what a dark haunted scene that was. I think that I got touched by a ghost because I got a crazy rash while we were underground. Again, you guys sold out the room. It was just insane how out of hand that show got! Thank you again.
